Originally established in 1952 as a state-owned enterprise within the Eastern Bloc's plastics industry, DURA TEAK has a rich history. In 1990, the company was privatized when one of its engineers acquired it, marking a new era focused on specialized extrusion of pipes, profiles for the electronics and automotive industries, and recreational equipment.

Since 2004, the company has undergone a significant shift in focus, driven by its interest in experimenting with the composition of plastic teak decking and continuously improving product quality.
